The transition back home hasn't been that difficult so far. But I have noticed that some things that seemed normal before now seem extravagant. I realized, wow! I have a really nice house! Even though my house would be considered small by American standards it is at least twice the size of a nice upper-middle class house in Peru.
Today, I was out looking for a tv for my apartment, and realized how the whole time I was in Peru I rarely had a tv or any technology that I use daily here in the U.S. and guess what... I was completely happy without it. Made me reconsider if I really need a $100 cell phone just so I can play my MP3s on it?
