Another day in the jungle!

Hopefully I will be able to post pictures soon but I am always forgetting my camera cord!

Anyways I am in day 3 in La Merced. I am spending all of my time here with a family that DAvid and Jonty are friends with. It is nice to have an instant connection as soon as you come to a city. Areselli is 33 years old and has a 4 year old named Sebastian. She owns a stand in the central market selling indigenous crafts. Today the four of us went hiking in the jungle to see a waterfall in the area! Que bonita! However, it was only a small one, tomorrow we are hiking to see an even larger waterfall.

I discovered that there is an Alliance church right around the corner from where I am staying! Pretty exciting. Hopefully I will be able to go to a service there tomorrow.

Anyways, besides that I am really working at Spanish. It has been quite the wake up call. I defintely know very little Spanish. I am usually able to understand the general idea of most conversations, but the second someone talks directly to me I get nervous and seem to forget everything I know. It is amazing though to be studying something that you can step outside your door and use moments later. It is definitely a better way to learn!}

I miss you all would love to A: have you here (its not that expensive to come) or B: hear from you!

Con amor, Katalina or Kata (as they call me here)
